The Just Health Action curriculum is an alternative health education model for health professionals and students to take action on health inequities. JHA's health action framework has 4 major components:
- Population Health - examination of the social determinants of health (SDOH) and causes of health inequities in populations.
- Health Advocacy - examines ways that individuals and communities can take action to improve health equity (Example- student's advocacy life map exercise)
- Skills - Strategies to take action on the SDOH
- Action - Implementation of a SDOH action. Presentation: Teaching_Health_Advocacy-A_SDOH_Approach
